Welcome to the Entrepreneurship and Innovation course. This programme is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the dynamic world of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Whether you are an aspiring entrepreneur or looking to enhance your innovative thinking, you will learn how to develop business ideas, implement innovative strategies, and drive growth in today’s competitive landscape. 

Course Modules

This comprehensive programme is structured into 14 core modules, guiding you from foundational concepts to advanced strategies. The curriculum covers everything from Entrepreneurial Motivation and Design Thinking to Intellectual Property Management & Commercialisation, culminating in a localised perspective on start-up ecosystems in Kenya.

Learning Methodology

Delivery: Asynchronous / Online & Self-directed

This course is delivered through a fully asynchronous digital learning model, offering maximum flexibility. You will engage with interactive multimedia modules, pre-recorded expert sessions, and peer-to-peer discussion boards.

    To provide learners with a focused, relevant, and utilisable body of knowledge in entrepreneurship and innovation, suitable for starting and managing innovative ventures.

    Course Learning Outcomes

    By the end of this course, you will be able to:

    Module Overview

    In this module, you will learn the concept of entrepreneurship and characteristics of entrepreneurs. You will also learn the various factors motivating individuals to pursue entrepreneurship and the role of culture in nurturing entrepreneurship in individuals. As we begin this journey into entrepreneurship and innovation, we also want to hear from you—what are your personal expectations, and what challenges do you anticipate facing along the way.

    This module explores the concept of customer engagement, its dimensions and levels, key drivers, and its significance in fostering customer loyalty, satisfaction, and advocacy. You will examine contemporary approaches to customer engagement, including customer-centric strategies, relationship marketing, and digital engagement practices. Particular attention is given to the role of social media and emerging digital platforms in facilitating interactive communication, co-creation, and sustained customer relationships.
